Consistent positive experience

This was our third year using BUILD, and they continue to deliver. We always get the entrepreneurship curriculum and send teachers to the professional development for educators. Each time, the materials arrived on schedule, and the workshops are consistently high quality. We've seen a real difference in student engagement and their confidence in starting their own projects. They are reliable, and that's why we keep coming back.

Great program for students

I signed up our school for the BUILD program this year and it's been pretty awesome. The kids really get into the student-led business ventures. It was easy to get the ball rolling and their team helped us understand how it would fit into our schedule. Definitely a good experience for our students.

Good curriculum, slow setup

We recently implemented the BUILD entrepreneurship curriculum at our high school. The content itself, especially the project-based learning kits, was well-designed and engaged our students. Ordering the School site licenses was straightforward, though it took about three weeks to get all the digital access codes fully set up for our teaching staff after payment. Customer support was helpful when I called about a login issue for one of our teachers, resolving it within a day. The teacher training workshops were also very informative, preparing our educators well. Overall, the program has great potential for our students, but the initial rollout felt a bit drawn out.

Solid program, needs clearer info

We brought the BUILD program to our school, focusing on their student mentorship programs. The mentors have been fantastic, truly making a difference for our youth. The process to get started was mostly clear, but I did have to make a few calls to understand all the specifics of the School site licenses and how to best integrate the career readiness modules. While the program delivers great value and the support staff were polite, I think their website could offer more detailed FAQs upfront about the implementation process to save time. It's a worthwhile investment for student development, just prepare for some back-and-forth at the start.

How does BUILD compare to Junior Achievement? Trying to figure out which program would be better for our students.

P Paul Brown 4 weeks ago
From what I understand, BUILD is super focused on actual entrepreneurship and building real businesses, which is cool. JA is good too, but maybe a bit more broad business education.

L Linda Gomez 4 weeks ago
I've seen both. BUILD seems more hands-on with the student-led businesses and mentorship. JA is solid, but BUILD feels more 'do-it-yourself' for the kids.

My school is Title I, do they offer any special pricing or grants for the curriculum?

N Nancy Moore 3 weeks ago
I think they do, my friend's school got some kind of grant-funded access. You should definitely ask them directly.

They don't do 'discounts' like a store, but they do have grants and specific pricing for schools like that. It's more about partnership agreements than a coupon code.

Thinking of donating, is it tax deductible?

D Donna G. 1 month ago
Yeah, I got a receipt last year that was definitely for tax purposes. They're a non-profit.

Yep, it is. They're a 501c3 so all good there. You'll get the paperwork.

Are there any promo codes or anything for the annual gala tickets?

S Susan Smith 2 weeks ago
They don't really do 'promo codes'. Gala tickets are usually just a straight purchase or part of a sponsorship package.

L Leah Hall 2 weeks ago
Nah, it's not like buying something online with a discount code. For the gala, it's either the listed price or you might be part of a sponsor group. No coupon codes for non-profits usually.
